In a significant leadership change, Dr. Tijani Oseni has been appointed as the Acting Chief Medical Director (Ag CMD) of Edo State University Teaching Hospital, Auchi.

His appointment comes at the conclusion of the tenure of Dr. Moses Imologomhe, whose term ended on Monday, May 19, 2025.

Dr. Oseni, a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in both clinical practice and healthcare management, steps into the role with a wealth of qualifications and a proven track record.

An Associate Professor of Family Medicine at Edo State University, Iyamho, Dr. Oseni has long been recognized for his expertise in family medicine.

In addition to his academic role, he serves as a Consultant Family Physician, where he has gained invaluable experience in patient care and medical leadership.

Dr. Oseni is also an internationally certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician, a designation that underscores his commitment to preventive healthcare and the management of chronic diseases through lifestyle changes.

This certification, combined with his background in family medicine, positions him as an advocate for holistic and patient-centered care, which he is expected to continue championing in his new role.

Beyond his clinical expertise, Dr. Oseni is a trained professional manager and a chartered administrator, skills that will be essential as he takes on the managerial responsibilities of leading the teaching hospital.
