IMAN IN THE MONTH OF MAY, 2024

  1. On 2nd day of May, IMAN ATBUTH Branch continued the Sensitization Campaign and visited Specialist Hospital Bauchi.
  2. On the 5th day of May, IMAN Bauchi State Chapter was hosted by her sister, IMAN Plateau State chapter at TudunFera Education Foundation (TEF), Bauchi Road, Jos, Jos North Plateau State. The aim of the visit is to understudy the decade experience of the TEF led by Engr. Mubarak Jibril Tofa in training more than 5,000 adolescents and youths from Plateau State and it’s surrounding in writing and passing of their exams with average scores of over 200. This had merit the students in securing admissions into various public and private universities in Nigeria and abroad. Following the visit Engr. Mubarak reaffirmed his commitment in service to Islam and humanity at large. His readiness to send delegates or to present himself to see this program expanded to other parts of Nigeria has been secured and guaranteed. May Allah SWT bless, reward and sustain TEF, Jos, Plateau State and make them a role model to others.
  3. Similarly, on the same 5th day of May, the IMAN Katsina State paid a courtesy visit to Zakkah and waqf commission of Katsina State. The main issue of was the collaboration of the commission with the State chapter of IMAN in establishment of its Pharmacy and clinic. May Allah SWT make the collaboration beneficial to the good people of the State and beyond.
  4. On the 8th day of May, the National Secretary of IMAN, Professor Abdurrasheed Nasir has re-emphasized the need for all unit branches and state chapters of IMAN across Nigeria to adopt the branded Logo of IMAN in any of there correspondences such as letter headed papers, posters, Banners, e-posters magazines, among others. This will show unity of purpose of IMAN.
  5. On the 11th day of May, IMAN Katsina State chapter had courtesy call to Zakkat and Waqf commission of the state and issues and modalities of collaborative partnership was discussed. May Allah SWT bless and strengthen the relationship for the benefits of the entire Ummah.
  6. Between the 11th to 13th days of May, the representatives of the National Conference Planning Committee (NCPC) of IMAN including the Vice President 2, Dr Ibrahim Opewemi (Chairman of the NCPC), National PRO 1, Dr H.D Muhammad (Secretary of the NCPC) and the National Ameera, Hajiya Na’ima Balarabe (member of the NCPC) were hosted by the LOC of Borno State IMAN at Maiduguri Borno State. During which, site seeing which included venues for Preconference workshops (GNHI/IMAN addiction prevention, IMAN cooperatives, Psycho-trauma and Student Leadership and Youth Training programs) and also venue for opening ceremony and scientific sessions including the plenary sessions were inspected and certified by the NCPC representatives. Similarly, a robust joint meeting tool place between the NCPC and LOC where reports of progress by various subcommittees of the LOC were received by the NCPC. Necessary inputs were given and timeframe was set for all the activities. May Allah SWT spare our lives to witness the KANEM 2024 IMAN AGM & SC.
  7. On the 12th day of May, one of our own, active member of IMAN Bauchi State chapter, Professor Bala Audu, the VC of Federal University of Health Science, Azare (FUHSA) was elected as the National President of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA). On behalf of the National President, National Executive Committee of IMAN, and other members of IMAN, we congratulate him for this giant stride. May Allah SWT bless and guide him in delivering the mandate of his office and make his input beneficial to Islam and humanity at large.
  8. On the 15th day of May, 2024, the mother of the Medical Director, FMC, Azare, Dr. Dauda Abubakar Katagum, (Zanna Dujiman Katagum) has passed away. May Allah SWT admit into Al-jannatul FirFirdaus.te. IMAN Gombe State enlightened the media houses on it’s special projects which aimed at community development and social awareness. The media stations having understood the motives of IMAN allocated free airtime for promoting and broadcasting these projects. Few days later the IMAN Gombe State chapter flag up a 50-million naira Waqf project to upgrade it’s medical faNationa May Allah SWT bless all the collaboration and make it impactful to the entire humanity.
  9. On 16th day of May, the same IMAN ATBUTH extended the sensitisation visits to the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi and General Hospital Bayara. A lot of successes were recorded during such visits.
  10. On the 25th day of May, the wedding fatiha of the daughter of the Ameer of IMAN, AKTH Branch who doubles as the Vice Ameer 1, IMAN Kano State Chapter, Dr Suleiman Abdullahi Gaya took place in Kano. On behalf of the National President and other members of IMAN, we pray and invoke Allah’s blessing of the union and enrich them with pious children.
  11. Between the 21st to 25th days of May, Professor Hajara Umar Suleiman, the National deputy editor of IMAN and also the head of FIMA Save Dignity Project had engaged in cascade of activities to commomorate the International Day for the Elimination of Fistula which was set as 23rd of May yearly. Some of the activities carried out were:

A. Medical Outreach and Surgeries at Ningi Local Government and surrounding. This was achieved in collaboration with Dr Halima Mukaddas, MD National Obstetric Fistula Centre Ningi, and IMAN Bauchi state chapter. Dr Mukaddas IMAN and FIMA for the support. More than a thousand patients were seen in 4 outreaches and 35 patients had successful repair of their VVF. Drugs and consumables used for the outreach and treatment were donated by FIMA/ IMAN.

B. Advocacy visit to Dr Sadiya Nasir, the MD National Obstetrics Fistula Centre, Baban Riga, Katsina State. One of the main issues discussed by Professor Hajara during the visit was Ibadah Friendly Services. She admonished the patients with VVF on purification and prayers despite leakage of urine.

C. Lastly, Professor Hajara along with the Wife of the Governor of Katsina State, visited babies born via CS whose mothers died. This was part of her visit to commemorate the the International Day for the Elimination of Fistula.

  1. On the 25 May, IMAN FCT Chapter conducted a lecture titled “Virtues of the First Ten Days of Dhul Hijjah” at IMAN FCT Secretariat, AFDIN Petroleum Filing Station, along Airport Road, Abuja. It was delivered by Prof. Abdulwasiu Gabadeen of the University of Abuja. May Allah SWT make it an insightful one.
  2. On the 27th of May, IMAN Katsina State chapter paid courtesy call to the management of Katsina State Colleges of Nursing Science, and Health & Technology. The main sim of the visit is to collaborate between the two parties in grooming competent future health care workers to acquire better knowledge, skills and attitude. May Allah SWT assist both parties in achieving such.
  3. On the 31st day of May, one of our elders, Dr Hassan Ibrahim, Chairman of the IMAN Health Facilities Consortium married out his daughter, Princess Barrister Fatima Hassan Ibrahim at Kaduna. The editor in chief, Dr Tajuddeen Abiola graced the occasion on behalf of the National President and other members of IMAN across Nigeria. May Allah SWT bless the union and enrich them with pious children.
