IMAN IN THE MONTH OF APRIL, 2024

  1. On the 4th day of April, Alhamdulillah, IMAN Katsina State Chapter had flag off the opening of IMAN Katsina pharmacy. May Allah SWT bless this giant stride and make it example to other unit branches and chapters of IMAN across Nigeria.
  2. On the 5th day of April, our National PRO 2, Malam Ja’afar Aliyu lost his beloved mother to the cold hands of death. On behalf of the National President, members of the National Executive Committee, and the entire members of IMAN across Nigeria we register our sincere condolences to the National PRO 2 and his family members over this irreparable loss.
    We pray that Allah SWT shower his mercy on our mother and admit her into Al-jannatul Firdaus.
  3. On the 15th day of April, the chairman of IMAN sokoto state chapter, Dr Shuaibu Muhammad Gobir and members of AMHS sokoto state chapter payed a sallah homage to the Grand Patron of IMAN, Sultan of sokoto, His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III. May Allah SWT bless and accept it as an act of Ibadah.
  4. On the 17th day of April, the National Secretariat of IMAN received a letter from Association of Muslim Health Students (AMHS), Zone B, requesting for support and Partnership in the AMHS B-ZONE convention titled “Executive Retreat and Leadership Development Program” which was scheduled to take place between the 22nd-26th days of May, 2024 at Kano, Kano State. May Allah SWT bless and make it a successful outing.
  5. On the 21st day of April, the team of the History of Islamic Medicine (HIM) at the Federation of Islamic Medical Associations (FIMA) had a virtual presentation titled _”The Intellectual Contributions of Women in Islamic History” The guest speaker was Dr Marium Husain, a Medical Oncologist, Ohio State University, James Comprehensive Cancer Centre, USA, the President of the Islamic Medical Association of North America (IMANA), and Lead of the FIMA save the Earth project. It was well moderated by Prof. Sharif Kafa Al-Ghazal, a Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Bradford, UK and Project lead HIM, FIMA. May Allah SWT make it beneficial to the entire humanity.
  6. On the same day (21/04/24), the IMAN Bauchi State Chapter in collaboration with the MSSN, Bauchi State and JNI, Bauchi State organized and executed Muhadaran Goron Sallah (Post Id’l Al-Fitr) lecture series as follows:
    1st lecture titled “Darussan da aka koya a cikin watan Ramadan: Tasirin su a Rsyuwar Musulmi (Lesson learned in Ramadan: It’s impact and application in the life of a Muslim)” by Sheikh Bashir Tahir Usman Bauchi.
    2nd lecture titled Laduban Musulunci a Lokutan Tsanani da Tsadan Rayuwa da Kunci (Islamic ethics in the times of difficulties, distress and price inflation) by Imam Aminu Rabiu, Chief Imam, Usman Bin Fodio Jumu’at Masjid, GRA, Bauchi.

3rd lecture titled Al-Adalah al-Ijtima’iyya: Jigon Kyautata Makomar Al’ummah (Social Justice: The way to improve the future of the people) by Professor Salisu Shehu, Vice Chancellor, Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, Kano, Kano State.
4th lecture titled Shirye-Shiryen Noma da inganta Ƙasa da abinci: Shawara ga ƙananan Manoma (Preparation for the farming season and improvement of the national food security: Guide to the small scale farmers)”_* by Dr Iliyasu Aliyu Gital (Mazawajen Dass)
Simultaneously, on 21/04/24, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State appointed our former National Secretary of IMAN, Alhaji Danlami Yusuf, as the Chairman of the Bauchi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA). On behalf of the National President of IMAN, Professor Ibrahim Oreagba, National Executive Committee and the entire members of IMAN across Nigeria we felicitate with him and the entire people of Bauchi State. May Allah SWT bless him with good subordinates that will assist him in doing the right things and also remind him of things he might have forgotten.

  1. On the 27th day of April, the immediate Past President of IMAN, Dr Salisu Ismail was invited as a guest speaker during the Ghana International Islamic Health Conference organized by the Muslim Health Workers Association of Ghana. He delivered a topic titled “Ensuring Equity in Health: Empowering Communities for Holistic Healthcare Services”_ May Allah SWT bless his efforts and make it beneficial to the entire people of Ghana and beyond.
  2. On the 28th day of April, IMAN Borno State Chapter in collaboration with JIBWIS Orphanage and Vulnerable person’s Committee, Borno State Chapter conducted a free community Medical Outreach titled “Your health our priority”. During the outreach; medical consultations, specialized clinical services, drugs and distribution of ‘dignity kits’ took place simultaneously. May Allah SWT bless this act of kindness and make it a pathway to Al-jannatul Firdaus.
  3. On the 29th day of April, Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of IMAN, Borno State Chapter held it’s meeting ahead of the combined meeting with National Conference Planning Committee (NCPC) and Local Organizing Committee (LOC) in preparation for the 25th Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference of IMAN coming up at Maiduguri, Borno State KENEM 2024. This preparatory meeting took place at the Federal2024 Neuropsychiatric Hospital (FNPH) Maiduguri, Borno State under the leadership of Professor Ibrahim Abdu Wakawa who doubled as the Medical Director of the FNPH. May Allah SWT bless and reward their efforts in having a hitch free AGM and Scientific Conference.
  4. On the 30th of April, the second virtual meeting between the NCPC and LOC took place ahead of the physical meeting scheduled for 12th May, 2024. May Allah SWT bless and make it a successful one.
  5. Within the month of April, Bauchi State IMAN launched “Membership Sensitization Program”, and mandated all the three (3) major branches (ATBUTH, AZARE AND NOFIC ) to carryout Sensitization Campaign to all health facilities around the state in order to activate or re-activate activities of IMAN in these centres.
    On the 30th of April, IMAN ATBUTH Branch visited Kofar Ran PHCC, Tashan Babiye PHCC, and Women and Children PHC clinic all within Bauchi Metropolis.
